Recipe Information:


250g butter, softened

1 tsp vanilla extract

½ cup icing sugar

1 ½ cups plain flour

½ cup cornflour

Passionfruit melting moments:  LTL added pulp from two fresh passionfruit as well as an additional ¼ cup of sifted icing sugar.  If you do not like or have passionfruit on hand, then these biscuits are delicious plain and can be dusted with icing sugar or if you have time two biscuits can be sandwiched together with icing.




  • Beat butter, extract and sifted icing sugar until light and fluffy
  • Stir in sifted flours
  • With floured hands, roll teaspoons of mixture into balls and place on tray leaving room for spreading
  • Flatten slightly with a floured fork
  • Oven 160and bake on lined trays for 15 minutes
  • Stand on tray for 5 minutes. Cool on wire rack.
