Snappy Sesame Slice

This recipe is based on Jude Blereau's original Museli Bar recipe from her cookbook 'Coming home to eat - wholefood for the family'.

Recipe Information:

2 cups organic rolled oats

1/2 cup sesame seeds

1/4 cup pumpkin seeds

1/4 cup sunflower seeds

1/2 cup natural raisins

1/4 cup natural desiccated coconut

1/4 cup organic cranberries (or dried fruit of choice)

90ml organic coconut oil measured in liquid state

45ml organic rice malt syrup

45ml organic maple syrup


  • Oven 180 degrees celsius
  • Line a baking tray
  • Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl
  • Mix wet ingredients in a measuring jug
  • Pour wet ingredients into dry and mix well
  • Firmly press into baking tray using the back of a spoon
  • Bake for 30 mins until slightly golden
  • Remove from oven and cut into pieces whilst still hot and still in tray
  • Allow slice to cool completely in tray, before removing and re-cut.
